PS5™ CONSOLE & ACCESSORIES INVITATION PROGRAMME FROM PLAYSTATION® FAQ

 

1) Who will receive an invitation to purchase a PlayStation®5 console?

Existing PlayStation users will be selected to receive an invite to purchase a PS5 console from Sony Interactive Entertainment Direct Europe Limited directly. Selection will be based on past activity and interest shown in PlayStation.

 

2) When will I know if I’ve been selected to receive an invitation or not?

If you are selected, we will send your invitation to the email address that is connected to your account for PlayStation®Network (PSN). The invitation will set out details of the specific date and time of your purchasing window during which you will have an opportunity to buy a PlayStation®5 console and/or accessories.

If you do not receive an email, you were not selected. 

 

3) If I receive an invitation, am I guaranteed to be able to purchase a PlayStation®5 console and/or accessories?

No, your purchase window is open for a limited time only. Check your personal invitation for details for the date/time of your purchase window. Your invitation will be sent to you the day before your purchasing window opens.

 

4) If I choose to accept my invitation on the date/time specified, can I buy as many PlayStation®5 consoles as I want?

No, due to high demand, you will only be able to purchase a limited quantity of available items per household. See table below.

5) In order to purchase a PlayStation®5 console, do I have to purchase every product that is available to purchase by invitation only?

No. As long as your product selection falls within the maximum quantity limits specified above, you may order as many or as few products as you’d like during your purchasing window.

 

6) How long will I have to place an order for a PlayStation®5 console and/or accessories?

Details about your purchasing window, that is the date and time during which you can make a purchase (while stocks last), will be set out in your email invitation.

 

7) Will PlayStation®5 games be available for purchase?

The physical disc versions of PS5 games will be available for purchase on playstation.direct.com – for all members of the general public. Digital versions of PS5 games can be bought on PlayStation™Store.

 

8) Will I be able to purchase PlayStation®Plus and PlayStation™Now from direct.playstation.com?

Yes, but you are limited to one digital voucher code for PlayStation®Plus and one for PlayStation™Now per transaction.

 

9) How can I pay?

We accept payment via the following methods: MasterCard, Maestro, Visa, Carte Bancaire and PayPal. We will update this page as more payment options are made available.

 

10) I currently reside outside of the countries that direct.playstation.com is available in. If invited, can I still purchase a PlayStation®5 Console, game disc or accessory?

If you receive an invite, you may place an order as long as the direct.playstation.com site you are ordering from delivers to the country of your chosen delivery address. See the Delivery & Tracking FAQ for where we deliver: https://direct.playstation.com/en-gb/support/delivery-tracking.

 

You will need an account for PlayStation Network registered to a country in Europe, Africa, The Middle East, Oceania, India or Russia, and a valid payment method. For accepted payment methods, see https://direct.playstation.com/en-gb/support/billing-payments.

 

Please note that any orders that contain a delivery address located in a country that the direct.playstation.com site you ordered from does not deliver to will be cancelled.
